A word about sock liners In order to acheive maximum moisture removal and insulation benefits from your Dahlgrens®, it is important that sock liners not be worn with your socks. Liners were originally created to eliminate the discomfort caused by the scratchy feel of worsted wool--a fiber that Dahlgren® does not use. We only use the finest merino wool and superfine alpaca, which is one of the softest natural fibers available. As a result, they will not agitate your skin the way conventional wool sock might.
In order to remove moisture, Dahlgrens® must be next to your skin. Liners interfere with this process and can result in cold, sweaty feet, and sometimes an increase in the likelihood of blisters. Because of this interference, liners are unecessary and discouraged.
Enjoy the dry, all-day, soft comfort of alpaca and leave those liners in the drawer! And just think of the benefits to your budget now that you no longer need to purchase liners!
Our socks will not shrink. Our socks will not shrink when you wash them. If you wear a medium, you don't have to buy a large to accomodate for shrinking. The guess work is taken out in the construction phase.
