Alpaca manure is often referred to as Black Gold. Because Alpacas have 3 stomachs it doesn't have to be composted, won't "burn" plants and can either be worked into the soil or used as top dressing for continuous feeding. It is naturally high in nitrogen and potassium, relatively low in phosphorous (like most livestock manure) and average in calcium and magnesium. It equates to about 1.5-0.2-1.1 versus 20-10-5 of a synthetic fertilizer. I like to apply it by putting a scoopful in a bucket, filling the bucket with water and letting it sit overnight. It breaks down and makes a tea which I apply to my potted plants. Alpaca manure is said to be an effective deer repellant. It is virtually odorless when applied but deer dislike the smell. 'Paca Pellets are packaged in "EcoDrop" biodegradable plastic. The bag will degrade within 12-24 months when exposed to soil containing moisture, oxygen and microorganisms. Sunlight will speed the process. Tied with re-used twine! This item is only available for pickup or delivery. Contact us.
